    Are they Canna Warscewiczii in the last photo?

  2. Ha..you are not the first to make comment like that..its the Gondwana we never had!

    The Canna is an old form and may not be a cultivar. Its a tough as boots..I reckon a lot of modern bred/selected plants have fairly weak constitutions ..I much prefer species over cultivar most of the time. As the great English writer Graham Stuart Thomas said "Collect Species and select cultivars" he be spot on! Either way i love the slow decline of the Canna through Winter!
